Lesson time and grouping |
Students are taught five lessons of geography per fortnight. They are not set and are taught in mixed ability sets. |

Homework |
Homework is set once a week, lasting between 45mins– 1 hour. Homework is predominantly retrieval practice and revision of previous topics. |

Assessment during the course |
Students will sit formal geography exams in the school exam fortnights for Year 10 (March/April) and Year 11 (December). In addition to day-to-day diagnostic formative assessments, students will have shorter summative assessments every two terms. |
