OCR Sport KS4

The BTEC course will appeal to you if you:

are interested in a career in coaching in sport or the Leisure industry; have a real passion for sport and being involved in your PE lessons; want to get involved in sport but may not necessarily be outstanding practically; are a level 6 or below in PE but still love your sport; don’t want to take an exam in PE but are able to cope with doing assignments – there is no written exam in the summer of Year 11.

The Edexcel BTEC Level 1/Level 2 First Award in Sport is taught over 120 guided learning hours (GLH).  It has core and optional specialist units.  Learners must complete the two core units and a choice of optional units to reach a total of 120 GLH.  This BTEC First Award has units that your centre assesses (internal) and a unit that Edexcel sets and marks (external).
